I Feel Like I Am Not on a Diet

My eating habits have changed totally since I have started this "lose 40 by Christmas" effort. I think I have changed my lifestyle and I am no longer on a diet. I do not have a diet mentality. It is more like I am thinking "ok, this choice has a lot of calories which I will not be burning today, so instead I will choose something with less calories." So, the one pound a week thing is still strolling along.

I could crank it up a notch and work out longer and eat even less calories. However, I feel confident that with my whole change of attitude, I will be able to do it slowly but surely. It will just take a little longer.

Good news about my blood pressure! It was 147/85 a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday it was 123/75. Yes!!! So, that is a good indication that my body is doing better internally.

My clothes are getting looser, but it is too early to toss them for new clothes.

Even though my deadline will change, my goal is being met and I am ok with that.

Thank you all for being so supportive!

Still a Pound a Week! I'll Never Make 40 Pounds By Christmas!

Well, considering I have 6 weeks until Christmas and 33 more pounds to lose by then I think I can safely say that I will not be making my goal. That would be more than 5 pounds per week. I really do not know why magazines always have that on the cover: Lose 43 Pounds By Christmas. I seriously saw that about 3 days ago. It's basically a lie or you could get really sick. One or the other. :D

However, the good news is that the scale continues to be reflecting a weight loss.

I'll keep going then. No point in giving up and losing the ground I have already gained.

You with me?

Stagnant at the Scales

BWAAH! Ok, it is true that I have resorted back to the old habit of eating one meal and two snacks as opposed to 5-6 teensy meals a day. Life gets busy. I start a new blog, I'm focusing on work and family. The holidays are coming soon.... WAIT, back up! Did I say I have a new blog? Oh, why, yes I did!  Well, my, my, my isn't that something. But to make a long story short about the blog:

I was watching videos about near death experiences (NDE) and was fascinated with the whole idea of heaven and the afterlife. So, I combined that with my substantial knowledge of the Holy Scriptures and decided to reach out to people who may not know about Jesus. I created the http://DoesJesusLoveMe.blogspot.com blog. I also added a Twitter account @DoesJesusLoveMe. It does take a little time to set those up, but if it keeps one person from going stark-maving-rad in our crazy world, then it is worth it!

So, I got on the scale yesterday and it flatlined since last week. That is not all bad. At least it did not go up! But this next week, I need to get back on my hefty leafy green schedule of eating! It mostly is a matter of planning ahead to make sure I have that kind of food handy. Now that my taste buds have immigrated to a land of natural foods, I actually prefer to eat healthy. Who would have ever thought that I could crave a green salad more than a hot fudge sundae?  haha! ;D

Thanks for stopping by! Drop me a note sometime when you have a sec.
