A Little Sumpin Sumpin, Increased Intensity on Cardio Work Out

Oh my, oh my, oh my! I have so not been writing blog posts! Sorry, dear friends. But I am writing today. Yay!

How are you doing on your daily exercise and eating healthy? Are you getting an average of 4 hours of exercise every week? Are you eating a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables?

When I started this blog, I thought that I could possibly lose 40 pounds in about four months. If I were still 18 years old, perhaps that would be true. Alas, I have been losing about one pound per week. However, during the Thanksgiving Holiday I gained back a half of a pound. Since Thanksgiving I have not been applying myself on being careful to eat 5-6 small healthy "meals" a day like I had been before. When I eat those tiny meals is when I can see the best results. They are not what you would consider real meals like most people eat. I keep them around 300 calories each. You would be surprised how much you can eat for 300 calories if you make healthy choices! And since I was eating every 2-3 hours, I never got hungry. I need to get back to that.

I have been doing very well on exercising, though. I have increased the intensity of my cardio work out. So, that's a little somethin' somethin'. This phrase is actually pronounced "a little sumhm sumhm" and I don't know where it originated. Does anyone know? Anyone? Anyone? ;D

Whatever happens, if you are trying to lose weight, just keep starting over until one day it sticks. Like Winston Churchill said, "Never, never, never, never, never give up."
