The Fat Dog

I have a little story to tell you about our pet dog.  She is a Yorkie, about 7 years old.

One long weekend we went out of town and left our cute little petite Yorkie with some friends of my mother-in-law. They are a nice family from Peru and they have been very kind to my elderly parents-in-law. So, this one long weekend, they were watching our dog and we didn't have any worries at all.

When we returned home four days later, they brought our little Yorkie home.

She was a round little fat furry ball.

OH MY GOODNESS! How did THAT happen? was my very first thought! We were only gone FOUR days!!!

So, I insisted that my husband, who speaks Spanish fluently, call and find out what had happened. The cute little princess of a dog had eaten all she wanted of bread and milk for four days!

It is possible that she was somewhat bloated from gas, but I truly think it was a weight gain because it took her more than three weeks to get back to normal.

Moral of the story for me is this: It does not take me long to gain weight and it takes me at least three times as long to lose it!   O_o
